I do want to say something. It has been such a pleasure working with your company. From the initial call, through the inspection, and all of the follow up work you are doing, your company has been great. I will highly recommend you to anybody that I might hear of that needs any type of inspection that you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help you guys have been. I have a phone call today with my insurance company about protection for the two doors listed on the report and I have a salesman coming tonight to give me an estimate to install protection so my home will qualify as totally protected. Brian told me that when I got them installed that I should call and schedule an inspection of them so he can amend the report.

“Darius, this is an example of the poor quality of the Wind Mit forms we receive form other iInspection Companies. I need to contact these guys to find out why they could only complete a portion of the form but it is really getting ridiculous out there. This was meant to help the home owner and encourage the Insurance companies to give credits where due. It really complicates the issue when anyone with a contractor’s license begins to pencil whip the OIR Mitigation forms. The spirit of the program is great but the increase in anyone and everyone signing these forms is becoming a true concern. Darius, I personally reviewed the inspection submitted for Mr. _____ and it clearly explains what you have said. It is indeed dimensional lumber. While we strive for all of our underwriters to always offer the best possible underwriting, every now and then one like this slips by. I don’t think the underwriter realized that the roof deck is dimensional lumber. I have addressed that issue with them. We know your work is top notch. Thanks for the explanation.

Thank you, the information is helpful when we are explaining to our customers why it is so important to have mitigation inspections. Most are under the assumption that it is an expensive inspection and want to avoid it at all costs. They really just need good solid facts in writing that they can understand.
